The excitement of senior year can quickly turn into fear as you are faced with the pressure that comes with being a senior. You must have an outstanding GPA, a unique college application, and an acceptable SAT score to get into the college of your dreams. All of this may seem discouraging but Constance Friday Elias wisely states that “tougher preparation makes better performance easier.”

Preparation for the SAT can be overwhelming which is why it’s important for you to allot enough time to adequately prepare for it. By doing so, you will begin to cultivate good study habits that will ensure a good performance not only on the SAT but also on future exams.

After months of determination, you have finally reached one of the pivotal moments of your life: high school graduation. Next up: college! During your first few weeks of college, you attend parties, make friends, and you’re thinking “this is what college is all about!” However, as exams are quickly approaching, you begin to realize the college is more than that. It’s about learning how to build daily habits that will help you become the person you are aspiring to be. The key is to start early. You may have to miss out on a few parties in order to get an A and that’s okay! Preparing for the SAT in high school is a great way to begin cultivating these studying habits. This may require you to miss out on an adventurous summer with friends. Would you rather miss out on a fun summer or miss out on a spot into the university of your choice?
