About Us
Passion led them here. In 2015, Bithiah Sam Lott, Biologist, saw the need to provide academics support to underrepresented students in her community. With 9 years of teaching experience and years of making strides in lives of many students, she became a recognizable in figure in her local community. At this time, the learning program had no name, then Lewis came up with the greatest idea. Lewis Q. Lott, PhD Candidate in Chemistry was the visionary behind the name Back-2-Basic Learning. The idea was to ensure that no child was left behind or passed along, for that matter. Recognizing that many students fall through the cracks in the academic system, Back 2 Basic Learning was designed to establish the learning foundation of students through skill building.
Lewis and Bithiah are very passionate about the impact their teachers had on their academic success. Their dedication to Back 2 Basic Learners is a way of paying it forward.

Great academic institution!! I had the opportunity to do one on one tutoring with the lead tutor when planning to go back to college. My Math was very poor, but she was very patient with me until I got better. The program does periodic evaluations and the owner herself gets involved in the development of the students.
